group P&L and Trial Balance visibility
Gulf Data Hub ran intercompany transactions and consolidation on Tally, leading to duplicate manual entries and slow, error-prone reporting. SQIT moved GDH to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with custom automation for intercompany entries and group consolidation. Consolidation now runs with one click, and the finance team has shrunk from 5 to 2 while accuracy has improved.
Gulf Data Hub is the largest colocation provider in the MENA region, with 40MW of operational data centers and 90MW more under construction. Based in Dubai Silicon Oasis, GDH helps businesses improve uptime and reduce costs, offering colocation services for private organizations, government, and internet service providers.
Gulf Data Hub operates as a multi-entity group across the GCC region, which means every transaction between companies in the group has to be recorded, matched, and reconciled correctly. For a business managing multiple entities, getting a clear consolidated view of the group’s financial position isn’t a monthly nice-to-have, it’s core to how leadership makes decisions.
For a while, Tally handled the basics of each entity’s books. But Tally had no real concept of intercompany transactions across separate companies, and no way to consolidate them into a single group view. As Gulf Data Hub’s structure grew more complex, that gap between the tool and the business became harder to work around.
Gulf Data Hub’s growth outpaced what Tally could support, forcing the team into manual workarounds.
Together, these gaps meant the finance team spent more time re-entering and reconciling data than reviewing it. As the group added entities, the manual load only grew heavier.
SQIT migrated Gulf Data Hub to a fully integrated Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central platform, configured specifically for multi-entity operations and real-time financial transparency.
Each piece targeted a specific bottleneck, but together they gave Gulf Data Hub one connected system for intercompany operations and group reporting.
The intercompany module now generates matching entries across entities automatically, cutting reconciliation work and shortening month-end close significantly. Management can generate consolidated Trial Balances and P&L statements instantly, with full bifurcation by business unit, directly within the system.
By automating 60 to 70% of manual data entry, the finance team has shrunk in size while accuracy and professional output have both gone up. Work that once needed 4 to 5 people to manage now runs with 1 to 2, covering the same scope.

By migrating Gulf Data Hub from Tally to a custom-built solution on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SQIT delivered real-time group visibility and automated financial close.
